هدفت هذه الدِّراسة إلى تعرف أثر استخدام المنحى الجمالي لتدريس تاريخ العالم الحديث والمعاصر في تنمية مهارات التعاطف التاريخي لدى طلبة المرحلة الثانوية في دولة الكويت. اتبعت الدراسة التصميم شبه التجريبي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من مجموعتين؛ تجريبية: ودرست وفق المنحى الجمالي؛ بينما درست المجموعة الضابطة وفق الطريقة الاعتيادية. وبلغ عدد الطلبة (72) طالباً موزعين بواقع (36) طالباً للمجموعة التجريبية و(36) طالباً للمجموعة الضابطة. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة؛ تم إعداد اختبار للتعاطف التاريخي في مقرر تاريخ العالم الحديث والمعاصر، إضافة لإعداد الوحدتين الخامسة والسادسة في مادة التاريخ وفق المنحى الجمالي. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فرق ذي إحصائياً بين متوسط علامات المجموعتين التجريبية التي درست باستخدام المنحى الجمالي وعلامات المجموعة الضابطة التي درست بالطريقة الاعتيادية في اختبار التعاطف التاريخي ولصالح المجموعة التجريبية. وفي ضوء ما أسفرت عنه الدِّراسة من نتائج قدم الباحثان مجموعة من التوصيات. This study aimed to know the effect of using the aesthetic approach to teaching the history of the modern and contemporary world in developing the skills of historical sympathy for high school students in the State of Kuwait. The study followed the semi-experimental design, and the study sample consisted of two groups experimental studied according to the aesthetic approach; while the control group studied according to the usual method. The number of students reached (72) students distributed (36) students of the experimental group and (36) students of the control group. To achieve the aims of the study; A test of historical sympathy was prepared in the course of the history of the modern and contemporary world, in addition to preparing the fifth and sixth units in the subject of history according to the aesthetic approach. The results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the mean marks of the two experimental groups that were studied using the aesthetic trend and the marks of the control group that were studied in the usual way in the historical empathy test in favor of the experimental group. In light of the results of the study, the researcher presented a set of recommendations. (Published abstract)
