تعتبر الدراسة الحالية هي الدراسة الأولى التي تناولت موضوع إلغاء الواجبات البيتية، وقد هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على الاتجاهات نحو إلغاء الواجبات البيتية لتلاميذ المرحلة الأساسية الدنيا من وجهة نظر المعلمين وأولياء الأمور. واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي الكمي. وتمثلت أداة الدراسة في مقياس اتجاه ، تم تطبيقها على عينة عشوائية تكونت من (101) من معلمي ومعلمات المرحلة الأساسية الدنيا العاملين بوزارة التربية والتعليم العالي الفلسطينية بمدينة غزة ، وأولياء أمور تلاميذ المرحلة الأساسية الدنيا. وخلصت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج أهمها أن طبيعة الاتجاهات نحو إلغاء الواجبات البيتية لتلاميذ المرحلة الأساسية الدنيا من وجهة نظر المعلمين وأولياء الأمور جاءت بدرجة متوسطة، كما لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (α≤0.05) في الاتجاهات نحو إلغاء الواجبات البيتية لتلاميذ المرحلة الأساسية الدنيا بين المعلمين وأولياء الأمور، وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة يوصي الباحثان بضرورة توفير البدائل الهادفة والمفيدة لإلغاء الواجبات البيتية كاستراتيجيات وأدوات التقويم الواقعي، وبضرورة استخدام واجبات بيتية مختلفة شريطة أن تكون قليلة وهادفة ولها علاقة بمواضيع الدروس المختلفة. The current study is considered the first one that discusses the topic of cancelling homework assignments. This study aims to identify the attitudes towards cancelling homework for lower elementary school students from the perspective of teachers and parents. The study used a quantitative descriptive approach; the study was applied a trend scale on a sample of (101) male and female teachers from the lower elementary schools in the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Gaza, and parents of lower elementary schools students. The results revealed that the attitudes toward cancelling homework assignments came in a moderate degree from the perspective of teachers and parents. Additionally, the results revealed that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) in the attitudes toward cancelling homework assignments from the perspective of teachers and parents. In light of the results, the researchers recommend to provide meaningful and useful alternatives for cancelling homework such as using different strategies and tools of authentic assessment. And if it necessary to use homework, it should be little, purposeful and related to the topic of different lessons. (Published abstract)
