هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن أثر استخدام إستراتيجية (PQ4R) في تحسين مهارات دراسة التاريخ لدى طلبة الصف الثامن الأساسي، في مديرية التربية والتعليم للواء عين الباشا في الأردن. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (50) طالبا تم تقسيمهم بشكل عشوائي لمجموعتين متساويتين: المجموعة التجريبية (ن=25) وطبقت عليها إستراتيجية (PQ4R) والمجموعة الضابطة (ن=25) لم تطبق عليها الإستراتيجية. لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم استخدام اختبار تحصيلي لمهارات دراسة التاريخ وتطوير الوحدة الأولى من كتاب التاريخ للصف الثامن (الدولة العباسية مظاهرها والغزو المغولي) باستخدام إستراتيجية (PQ4R). أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في متوسط الدرجات على اختبار مهارات دراسة التاريخ في الاختبار البعدي ولصالح المجموعة التجريبية مما يشير إلى فاعلية الإستراتيجية، كما أظهرت نتائج اختبارات المتابعة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مهارات دراسة التاريخ. The aim of the study was to examine the effect of using (PQ4R) strategy on improving history study skills of eighth grade students at Ain Al Basha Educational Directorate in Jordan. The sample of the study consisted of (50) students assigned randomly into two equal study groups: the first was experimental (n=25) and was taught using (PQ4R) strategy, and control (n=25) and taught using traditional teaching. To achieve the objectives of the study, history study skills test was used in addition to designing the first unit of eighth grade history textbook (Abbasid State and Mogul Invasion) based on (PQ4R) strategy. The results of the study showed statistically significant differences between the means scores of eighth grade students on the history study skills posttest results, in favor of the experimental group, which indicates the effectiveness of the (PQ4R) strategy. The follow- up results also indicated statistically significant differences in history study skills. (Published abstract)
