استهدف البحث وضع تصور مقترح لجامعة أسوان كجامعة ريادية في ضوء مستجدات اقتصاد المعرفة، واعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي، واستخدم استبانة للتعرف على درجة توافر خصائص الجامعات الريادية ومؤشرات تحقيقها في ضوء مستجدات اقتصاد المعرفة بجامعة أسوان، وذلك من وجهة نظر القيادات الأكاديمية وأعضاء هيئة التدريس بالجامعة، وتناول البحث إطارا مفاهيميا عن اقتصاد المعرفة وتطور وظائف الجامعات في ضوء مستجدات هذا الاقتصاد الجديد، والأسس الفلسفية للجامعات الريادية وبعض التجارب العالمية الرائدة في هذا المجال، وتوصل البحث إلى نتائج أهمها: تبذل جامعة أسوان بعض الجهود لتفعيل خصائص (الإبداعية والاستباقية والتنافسية وتحمل المخاطر)، كما أنها تحتاج لمجهود كبير في سبيل تفعيل المعايير والمؤشرات بجامعة أسوان، وأنتهى البحث بتصور مقترح لجامعة أسوان كجامعة ريادية يستند على أسس ومنطلقات وآليات وشروط وضمانات وإجراءات تحقيق. The research aimed to develop a Suggested proposal for Aswan University as an entrepreneurial university in the light of the developments of the knowledge economy, and the research relied on the descriptive approach, and used a questionnaire to identify the degree of availability of the characteristics of the entrepreneurial universities and the indicators of their achievement in the light of developments in the knowledge economy at Aswan University, from the point of view of the academic leaders of the university and Faculty members interested in entrepreneurial projects, and the research dealt with a conceptual framework on the knowledge economy and the development of university jobs in the light of the developments of this new economy, as well as the philosophical foundations of entrepreneurial universities and some of the leading global experiences in this field. The research reached the most important results: Aswan University is making some efforts to activate the characteristics of (creative, proactive, competitive and risk bearing), and it also needs a great effort in order to activate the standards and indicators at Aswan University, and the research ended with a Conceived proposal of Aswan University as an entrepreneurial university based on the foundations and the premises, mechanisms, conditions, guarantees and investigation procedures.
