هدف هذا البحث إلى التعرف على فاعلية برنامج في الدراسات الاجتماعية قائم على مبادئ حقوق الطفل لتنمية الوعي بها وبتقدير الذات لدى تلاميذ المدارس المجتمعية، حيث تمثلت مشكلة البحث في: قلة الوعي بحقوق الطفل لدي تلاميذ المدارس المجتمعية، وهو ما انعكس سلبا على مدى تقديرهم لذاتهم، وهو ما استلزم بناء برنامج قائم على مبادئ حقوق الطفل لمعالجة هذه المشكلة، حيث تم إعداد قائمة بمبادئ حقوق الطفل المناسبة لتلاميذ المدارس المجتمعية، ثم بناء تصور مقترح لبرنامج قائم على مبادئ حقوق الطفل، وبناء وحداته تفصيلياً، تلى ذلك إعداد آداتي البحث وهما: مقياس الوعي بحقوق الطفل ومقياس تقدير الذات، وقد تم اختيار مجموعة البحث وهم مجموعة من تلاميذ المستوى الثاني بمدرسة السيدة خديجة المجتمعية بالقاهرة، وقد بلغ عددهم (24) تلميذ، واتبع هذا البحث المنهج التجريبي والذى يعتمد على المجموعة الواحدة، وقد أشارت نتائج البحث إلى فاعلية البرنامج المقترح في تنمية كل من الوعي بحقوق الطفل ومقياس تقدير الذات لدى التلاميذ مجموعة البحث، ويتضح ذلك من خلال دلالة متوسطي درجات التلاميذ في التطبيقين القبلي والبعدي لمقياس الوعي بحقوق الطفل سواء للمقياس ككل أو لكل جانب تضمنه المقياس، وكذلك بالنسبة لمقياس تقدير الذات بأبعاده المختلفة، حيث جاءت دلالة الفروق عند مستوى (0.01)، لذلك أوصي البحث بتضمين مبادئ التربية على حقوق الطفل في مناهج الدراسات الاجتماعية بما ينمي لديهم الوعي بحقوقهم وتقديرهم لذاتهم ويساهم في تكوين شخصية المواطن السوي والايجابي لنفسه ولوطنه. The aim of this research is to identify the effectiveness of a program in social studies based on the principles of child rights to develop awareness of them and self-esteem among community school pupils, as the research problem is: Lack of awareness of child rights among community school pupils, which was negatively reflected on the extent of their self-esteem This required building a program based on child rights principles to address this problem, as a list of child rights principles appropriate for community school pupils was prepared, then the structure of the suggested program and it’s units were designed in detail, followed by the preparation of two research instruments, represented in: Child Rights Awareness Scale , and a self-esteem scale. They were applied before and after teaching the experimental topics for a group of second-level students at Mrs. Khadija Community School in Cairo (n=24). This research adopted experimental, one group research design. Results indicated the effectiveness of the suggested program in developing both awareness of the rights of the child and the self-esteem scale of the students in the research group. This is represented in the significance of differences at the 0.01 level between the pupils’ mean scores in the pre-and post-application. Therefore, the research recommended that the principles of child rights be included in the social studies curricula in a way that develops awareness of their rights and their self-esteem and contributes to the formation of the character of a healthy and positive citizen for himself and his country.
