يهدف البحث إلي التعرف علي مستوي التفاؤل والأمل لدى طفل ماقبل المدرسة بأبعادهم والعلاقة بينهم وبين المستوي الاقتصادي الاجتماعي للأسرة، مع معرفة الفرق بين (الذكور- الإناث) في التفاؤل والأمل، وطبق البحث على عينة قوامها (65) طفلا (ذكور- إناث) تتراوح أعمارهم (6-7) سنوات. واستُخدم في البحث مقياس التفاؤل لطفل ما قبل المدرسة (إعداد الباحثة)، استمارة ملاحظة الأمل لطفل ما قبل المدرسة (إعداد الباحثة)، استمارة المستوى الإقتصادي الإجتماعي (إعداد الباحثة)،اختبار المصفوفات المتتابعة لجون رافن لقياس الذكاء. وأسفرت نتائج البحث عن وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية على الأبعاد الفرعية والدرجة الكلية لمقياس التفاؤل واستمارة ملاحظة الأمل لطفل ما قبل المدرسة، وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين التفاؤل والمستوى الاقتصادي الاجتماعي لطفل ما قبل المدرسة، عدم وجود علاقة بين الأمل والمستوى الاقتصادي الاجتماعي لطفل ما قبل المدرسة، لا يوجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الجنسيين على مقياس التفاؤل، إلإ في بعد "رد الفعل الإيجابي" لصالح الإنا؛ كما لا يوجد فروق بين الجنسيين في استمارة ملاحظة الأمل. The research aim to identify the level of Optimism and hope for Pre-school Child with its sides and it’s relation between them and social economical level and with knowing the difference between (males and females) in optimism and hope, the research applied on sample consists of (65) children (males and females) between the age of 6-7 years. Tools Used in the research were scale of optimism for Preschool child (prepared by the researcher), form of hope observation for Pre-school child (prepared by the researcher), form of social economical level (prepared by the researcher), test of Sequential matrices for John Raven to measure intelligence. Research results are that there is statistical significance for sub-dimensions and total grade for scale of optimism and form of hope observation for Pre-school child, and there is relation with statistical significance between hope and social economical level for preschool child, there is no relation between hope and social economical level for preschool child, there is no difference with statistical significance between genders in scale of optimism, except in the dimension of the positive reaction “for female”. And also there is no difference between genders in the form of hope observation. (Published abstract)
