من خلال دراسة استقصائية معدلة ومثبتة من خمس نقاط على مقياس LIKERT، فحصت هذه الدراسة وجود ارتباط ذي دلالة إحصائية بين كل من الهواتف الذكية المزودة بشاشة تعمل باللمس ومنصات الوسائط الاجتماعية، مثل WHATSAPP وغيرها، وامتحانات الرياضيات المحددة بوقت لكل طالب. القلق والسلوك في الفصل والكفاءات في مجال حل المشكلات بالكلمة في 18 مدرسة ثانوية حكومية و31 مدرسة خاصة في بيروت. كان فحص تأثير التوظيف المناسب لمنصة WhatsApp، من خلال ميزات التفاعل والتعلم التعاوني، على الأداء الرياضي لطلاب المرحلة الثانوية، من خلال درجاتهم، وأيضًا في مجال حل المشكلات والتواصل، هو اشكالية هذه الدراسة. تمّ اختيار 1365 طالبًا ثانويًا من خلال التقنية الطبقية العشوائية لملء المسح وتمثيل 7795 طالبًا وطالبة، بينما تم اختيار 149 طالبًا ثانويًا من خلال أسلوب أخذ العينات الهادف للوضع الإشكالي المذكور أعلاه. بالنسبة للإحصاءات الوصفية، استخدم الباحث الترددات والنسبة المئوية والوضع والرسم البياني الشريطي. بالنسبة للإحصاءات الاستنتاجية، استخدم الباحث اختبار Pearson's Chi-Square، وتحليل الانحدار المتعدد، واختبار الحالة الطبيعية، والعينات المزدوجة، واختبارات T للعينات المستقلة. كشفت النتائج عن وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين كل من المتغيرين المستقلين وكل من المتغيرات الثلاثة التابعة. فيما يتعلق بإشكالية الدراسة، خلص الباحث إلى أنه بسبب عدم وجود منهج جيد التصميم، فإن ممارسات المعلمين داخل فصولهم الدراسية، ورفض المعلمين استخدام أو دمج وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في أساليب التدريس الخاصة بهم، والجداول المحملة للمعلمين، والطلاب الارتباط القوي وغير الكافي بوسائل التواصل الاجتماعي الخاصة بهم، وعدم قدرة الطلاب على التعلم بنفس الوتيرة، وافتقار الطلاب للكفاءات في مجال حل المشكلات والاتصال، فإن منصة WhatsApp غير قادرة على تجديد المشهد الرياضي للمجال المذكور أعلاه. Through a modified and validated five-point Likert scale survey, this study has examined the existence of a statistically significant association between each of the smartphones with a touch screen and the social media platforms, like WhatsApp and others, and each of students’ math timed exams anxiety, behavior in class and competencies in the word problem solving domain in 18 secondary public schools and 31 private schools in Beirut. Examining the impact of the proper employment of the WhatsApp platform, via its interaction features and collaborative learning, on secondary students’ mathematical performance, through their grades, also in the problem solving and communication domain was the problematic of this study. 1365 secondary students were selected through the random stratified technique to fill the survey and represent 7795 students, while 149 secondary students were selected through the purposive sampling technique for the aforementioned problematic situation. For the descriptive statistics, the researcher has used the frequencies, the percent, the mode and the bar diagram. For the inferential statistics, the researcher has used the Pearson’s Chi-Square Test, the Multiple Regression Analysis, the Test of Normality, the Paired Samples and the Independent Samples T-Tests. Results have revealed a statistically significant association between each of the two independent variables and each of the three dependent ones. Regarding the problematic of the study, the researcher has concluded that because of the lack of a well-designed curriculum, teachers’ practices inside their classes, teachers’ refusal to use or integrate social media in their teaching methods, teachers’ loaded schedules, students’ strong and inadequate bounding with their social media, students’ inability to learn at the same pace, and students’ lack of competencies in the problem solving and communication domain, the WhatsApp platform is unable to revamp the mathematical landscape of the aforementioned domain. Grâce à une enquête à l'échelle de Likert modifiée et validée en cinq points, cette étude a examiné l'existence d'une association statistiquement significative entre chacun des smartphones à écran tactile et les plateformes de médias sociaux, comme WhatsApp et autres, l'anxiété, le comportement en classe et les compétences de chacun des élèves aux examens de mathématiques chronométrés dans le domaine de la résolution de problèmes de mots dans 18 écoles secondaires publiques et 31 écoles privées à Beyrouth. Examiner l'impact du bon emploi de la plate-forme WhatsApp, via ses fonctionnalités d'interaction et d'apprentissage collaboratif, sur les performances mathématiques des élèves du secondaire, à travers leurs notes, également dans le domaine de la résolution de problèmes et de la communication était la problématique de cette étude. 1365 élèves du secondaire ont été sélectionnés grâce à la technique stratifiée aléatoire pour remplir le sondage et représentent 7795 élèves, tandis que 149 élèves du secondaire ont été sélectionnés grâce à la technique d'échantillonnage raisonné pour la situation problématique susmentionnée. Pour les statistiques descriptives, le chercheur a utilisé les fréquences, le pourcentage, le mode et le diagramme à barres. Pour les statistiques inférentielles, le chercheur a utilisé le test du chi carré de Pearson, l'analyse de régression multiple, le test de normalité, les échantillons appariés et les tests T pour échantillons indépendants. Les résultats ont révélé une association statistiquement significative entre chacune des deux variables indépendantes et chacune des trois variables dépendantes. Concernant la problématique de l'étude, le chercheur a conclu qu'en raison de l'absence d'un programme bien conçu, des pratiques des enseignants au sein de leurs classes, du refus des enseignants d'utiliser ou d'intégrer les médias sociaux dans leurs méthodes d'enseignement, des horaires chargés des enseignants, des étudiants « délimitation forte et inadéquate de leurs médias sociaux, incapacité des étudiants à apprendre au même rythme et manque de compétences des étudiants dans le domaine de la résolution de problèmes et de la communication, la plate-forme WhatsApp est incapable de réorganiser le paysage mathématique du domaine susmentionné.
