حاولت هذه الدراسة أن تسلط الضوء على المشكلات التي لا تزال تعاني منها المرأة العربية في أواخر العقد الثاني من القرن الحادي والعشرون. واعتمدت الدراسة على عينة عمدية من طالبات جامعة الشارقة بلغ حجمها (48) طالبة، ممن درسن مادة المرأة والتنمية بجامعة الشارقة حتى تكون لديهن أفكار عامة عن أوضاع المرأة العربية. واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. مستخدمة فرضيات النظرية النسوية والنوع لهذه الدراسة. وكشفت نتائج الدراسة بعد تحليل المادة وتصنيف الاجتماعي كإطار نظريا جميع المشكلات التي ذكرتها الطالبات عن أربع فئات رئيسية للمشكلات الاجتماعية التي تعاني منها المرأة العربية وهي على الترتيب: المجتمع الأبوي الذكوري، التمييز الجندري، التمييز على أساس النوع الاجتماعي، العنف ضد المرأة، مشكلات العمل. وتتفرع مجموعة من المشكلات الفرعية تندرج تحت كل فئة من هذه الفئات الرئيسة. كما أوضحت نتائج الدراسة أن أهم الحلول من وجهة نظر الطالبات لمواجهة هذه المشكلات الوعي المجتمعي بقضايا المرأة، وزيادة تفعيل دور مؤسسات الدولة والمجتمع المدني، ودور القانون، ثقة المرأة في ذاتها وقدراتها، اختيار شريك الحياة الداعم. This study attempts to highlight the problems that Arab women still face and suffer from during the late second decade of 21st century. The sample of the study consists of 48 female students who are taking a course on women and development at the University of Sharjah and have an overall idea about Arab women status and conditions. The analytical descriptive approach has been used, in addition to women and social gender theory as a theoretical framework. After analysis and categorization of all problems mentioned by the sample students, the study sorted out four main categories of social problems that Arab women suffer from. These categories are arranged as follows: masculine-fatherhood community, gender and social discrimination, violence against women, and work problems, all of which have subcategories. The findings of the study indicated that the most important solutions from the point of view of the students is increasing the social awareness of women issues, greater activation of the role of civil society and state institutions, increasing the role of law, giving greater confidence to women and their potentials, as well as choosing a supportive life partner.
