This study aimed to identify the level of awareness of food, health, sport, physical and medical habits, as well as to identify the level of differences in the awareness of food and health among the students of Taibah University from the scientific and humanitarian tracks to determine the impact of the level of awareness of health and nutrition on the index of fat, physical pattern and rate of diabetes. In order to achieve this aim, the study was conducted on a sample of 400 students from the scientific and humanitarian tracks; 235 students from the scientific track and 165 students from the humanitarian track using a questionnaire that was divided into four axes. After data collection and classification, the statistical program SPSS20 was used for data analysis. The results of the study showed that the level of public health and nutrition awareness among the sample was very low. The response percentage was 48.00%. In addition, there were statistically significant differences in the level of health and nutrition awareness among students in favor of the scientific track and higher academic rate. In light of the research findings, the researchers recommended using research data to evaluate the current preventive programs, plan future programs on food and health awareness and share the results of this research with partners from the Ministry of Education and beyond that with governmental agencies, civil society organizations and the private sector for advancement, in order to assume the joint responsibility to promote the health of the community and the dissemination of health and nutrition culture at all society levels.
