This study aimed at evaluating the sixth-grade Arabic language textbook (My Beautiful Language) in terms of the existence of the required life skills. To achieve this goal, the researcher used the descriptive analysis method. The researcher prepared a questionnaire that contained (65) life skills distributed over (5) areas. These areas are: social skills, cognitive skills, intellectual skills, moral skills and beauty skills. The assumption is that these skills should be integrated in the first- and second-semester copies of the Arabic language textbook for both: the student’s book and the student’s workbook. The results of the evaluation of the textbook showed that life skills in the sixth-grade Arabic language textbook for both copies were repeated 489 times throughout the content of the textbook. Cognitive skills were found the most in the textbook with 45.2% of the total skills. Intellectual skills came second with 31.9%. Social skills came third with 12.1%. Moral skills occupied the fourth rank with 7.7% of the total score. Beauty skills were the least among the five categories with 3.1% of the total life skills found in the sixth-grade Arabic language textbook. The recommendations of the study included reevaluating the Arabic language textbook to make sure that life skills are integrated in the textbook in a balanced way in order to ensure positive results in employing Arabic language in the different aspects of life to help students acquire these life skills.
