The current study has aimed to recognize the problems of teaching art education for the first three classes in the District of Ain Al-Basha from female teachers’ viewpoint. The members of the study were 174 female teachers concerned with teaching art for the first three classes in the Directorate of Ain Al-Basha in the scholastic year 2017/2018. A measure of the problems of teaching art education for the first three classes has been developed and verified. The measure has four aspects: problems related to the teacher, the curriculum and teaching strategies, fund and equipment and evaluation. The study has relied on the descriptive approach undertaking the necessary statistical analyses for the data obtained. The results of the study have shown that female teachers of art for the first three classes answered the four aspects of the questionnaire from their viewpoint as follows: teacher, fund and equipment, curriculum and teaching strategies and evaluation. Teacher and fund and equipment variables have been the highest concern, respectively. Then came the problems associated with curriculum and teaching strategies and evaluation. The results, particularly associated with the teacher, have indicated no statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) on the instrument as a whole, according to the two variables: academic qualification and teaching experience. In light of the outcomes, the ultimate recommendation is to have a sufficient number of art specialized teachers for the first three classes in the preliminary stage schools, considering it of the same level of importance as other school subjects. In addition, more official concern represented by the Ministry of Education must be drawn to art education, providing schools with both studios and equipment needed to effectively teach art.
