The purpose of this study is to identify the importance and obstacles of using infographics in teaching sciences, from science teachers’ point of view in the public schools in Makkah. The issue of the study has been formed in the question: what is the importance and obstacles of using infographics in teaching science in the intermediate schools from the point of view of science teachers in government schools in Makkah? Five sub-questions were derived from this question, and to answer it the researcher has used the descriptive method in a questionnaire that included two axes: the importance of using infographics in teaching science; and the obstacles that face this use. The questionnaire has been conducted on a sample of 124 science teachers at the intermediate schools in Makkah. The researcher has used appropriate statistical methods to answer the study questions, including: frequencies, ratios, and t test to compare between the two samples, the means, and standard deviations, in addition to the analysis of the mono-variance. The results showed that 9 statements out of 14 got a high degree of importance for using infographics in teaching science, while 5 statements out of 14 got a medium degree of importance. On the side of obstacles of using infographics all statements, except one, got a high degree of importance. The results also showed no statistical difference with (0,05=∞) in determining the importance of the use of infographic and its obstacles in teaching science due to the variables of science qualification, years of experience, and number of training courses in the field of computer. The researcher has recommended that teachers should be encouraged by their headmistresses and supervisors to use infographics in teaching, providing material and moral incentives by the ministry of education for teachers who use infographics in their teaching as well as doing similar studies four or five years later to determine whether the obstacles were overcome or not.
