هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين الضغوط النفسية والتوافق الزواجي لدى عينة من معلمات منطقة الباحة، وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من المعلمات المتزوجات في مدارس منطقة الباحة، والبالغ عددهم (445) معلمة متزوجة، واتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، واستخدمت الدراسة أداتين هما: مقياس الضغوط النفسية للماضي (1994)، ومقياس التوافق الزواجي للحنطي (1999)، وقد بينت نتائج الدراسة ما يلي: 1) لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في الضغوط النفسية تبعا لمتغير سنوات الزواج في أبعاد (المواقف المتعلقة بالأسرة، المواقف المتعلقة بالعلاقة الزوجية، المواقف المتعلقة بالصحة، المواقف المتعلقة بالنشاط الاجتماعي، مواقف تحوي ضغوط متفرقة). بينما توجد فروق في أبعاد (المواقف المتعلقة بالسكن، المواقف المتعلقة بالإنجاب، المتعلقة بالأمور المالية، وفي مقياس الضغوط النفسية ككل). 2) توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في الضغوط النفسية تبعا لمتغير عدد الأبناء في أبعاد المقياس وفي مقياس الضغوط النفسية ككل، ما عدا بعد المواقف المتعلقة بالأمور المالية، ومواقف تحوي ضغوط متفرقة. 3) لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في الضغوط النفسية تبعا لمتغير الدخل الشهري في أبعاد (المواقف المتعلقة بالأسرة، المواقف المتعلقة بالعلاقة الزوجية، المواقف المتعلقة بالصحة، المواقف المتعلقة بالنشاط الاجتماعي، مواقف تحوي ضغوط متفرقة). بينما توجد فروق في أبعاد (المواقف المتعلقة بالإنجاب، المواقف المتعلقة بالسكن، المواقف المتعلقة بالأمور المالية، وفي مقياس الضغوط النفسية ككل). 4) لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مقياس التوافق الزواجي تبعا لمتغير سنوات الخبرة في جميع أبعاد المقياس، وفي المقياس التوافق الزواجي ككل، ما عدا بُعد مشكلات اختلاف المستوى الاجتماعي والثقافي بين الزوجين". 5) لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مقياس التوافق الزواجي تبعا لمتغير عمل الزوج في جميع أبعاد في مقياس التوافق الزواجي. 6) لا توجد علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الضغوط النفسية والتوافق الزواجي لدى المعلمات في الباحة. The current study aimed at identifying the relationship between psychological stress and marital adjustment for a sample of female teachers in Al Baha region. The sample of the study was comprised of the married female teachers in Al Baha region's schools with the number of (445) married female teachers. The study followed the descriptive correlative approach. Two tools were used in this study: psychological stress scale of El Mady (1994) and marital adjustment scale of El Henty (1999). The study concluded the following results: - there were no significant differences in psychological stress according to the variable of years of marriage in the dimensions of (situations related to the family, situations related to the marital relationship, situations related to health, situations related to social activity and situations containing sporadic stresses). While there were significant differences in the dimensions of (situations related to housing, situations related to procreation, situations related to financial matters and in the psychological stress scale as a whole). There were significant differences in psychological stress according to the variable of the number of the children in all dimensions and in the psychological stress scale as a whole; except the dimensions of (situations related to financial matters and situations containing sporadic stresses). There were no significant differences in psychological stress according to the variable of monthly income in the dimensions of (situations related to the family, situations related to the marital relationship, situations related to health, situations related to social activity and situations containing sporadic stresses). While there were significant differences in the dimensions of (situations related to procreation, situations related to housing, situations related to financial matters and in the psychological stress scale as a whole). There were no significant differences in marital adjustment scale according to the variable of years of experience in all dimensions and marital adjustment scale as a whole; except in the dimension of (problems of the differences of the social and cultural levels between spouses). There were no significant differences in marital adjustment scale according to the variable of the work of the husband in all the dimensions of marital adjustment scale. There was no significant relationship between psychological stress and marital adjustment of the female teachers in Al Baha. (Published abstract)
