This research aimed to measure the effectiveness of a suggested training program based on augmented reality in developing of skills of using smart devices in teaching for intermediate level teachers in Bisha governorate. To this end, the research used the analytic descriptive approach and quasi-experimental design, and employed a single group pre-post design. The researcher prepared a list of skills of using smart devices in teaching and survey to identify training needs required for intermediate level teachers in Bisha governorate concerning of skills of using smart devices in teaching, achievement test and observation card. The experiment was applied on a random sample of Intermediate Level teachers in the administration of education in Bisha governorate (central office), and the number was (21) teachers. The tools (achievement test – observation card) were applied before experiment on the research sample, and at the end of the experiment, the same tools were administered on the same group. This took place during the second semester of the year 1439-1440 H. Results revealed a statistically significant differences between the means of the participants for the pre-post treatment. The teachers who had training in the suggested training program based on augmented reality in cognitive and performance domains related to skills of using smart devices in teaching for the post-treatment, and that there was a statistically significant correlation between the cognitive aspects and practical performance connected to skills of using smart devices in teaching for the research sample in the post-design treatment. Moreover, the result showed that the training program based on augmented reality has effectiveness and great influence on developing skills of using smart devices in teaching on the research sample. In light of the study findings, the researcher has suggested many recommendations and tips for future research. (Published abstract)
