The study aims to identify the use of Iraqi university students for the contents of the social media sites and their relation to their cultural identity. This study is descriptive studies that used the field media survey method to apply to a random sample of (400) respondents in Iraqi universities, University Of Al-Mustansiriya) 200 individuals, and private universities (University of Nahrain - Iraqi University) 200 individual, in the period from 1/4/2018 to 30/4/2018, through the questionnaire tool. Results: 1) social networking sites affect Iraqi national identity by blurring the west's identity and social identity, as well as affecting social identity by "abandoning some customs and traditions." The sites also influence linguistic identity through. 2) There is a positive correlation between the rate of use of Iraqi university students for the contents of social networking sites and their impact on their cultural identity.
