تعد المتطلبات النفسية أحد أهم هذه المتطلبات التي تساهم في تحقيق المستويات الرياضية العالية، وذات فائدة كبيرة بمجال بناء قدرات اللاعب وتطوير إمكانياته الفردية وتثبيتها وتحسينها والتي تحدد تصرف أداءه ومن خلال متابعة الباحثتان لمستوى قبولات كلية التربية الرياضية في قياس الخصائص النفسية للقبول في التربية الرياضية يعتمد على الاجتهاد الشخصي والمقابلة، لاحظ أن معظم المدربين لم يعطوا الاهتمام الكافي في الجانب النفسي من خلال بعض السمات النفسية التي يتميز بها كل طالبة وتطوير تلك السمات تللك القدرات النفسية وإيجاد طرق جديد لقياس، مما يؤدي إلى هدر الجهد والوقت في التدريب ومن ثم عدم تحقيق المستوى والنتائج المطلوبة 0 يهدف البحث بناء وتقنين مقياس الخصائص النفسية المفضلة للقبول في كلية التربية الرياضية. تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي بالأسلوب المسحي لملائمتهِ طبيعة المشكلة ولكونه أفضل السبل والوسائل للوصول إلى النتائج الصحيحة للبحث وجمع المعلومات والبيانات المطلوبة. اختارت الباحثتين عينة البحث من طالبة المتقدمين كلية التربية الرياضية جامعة المثنى والبالغ عددهم (80) طالب وطالبة المجتمع بكماله استنتجت الباحثتان أن مقياس الخصائص النفسية المفضلة لطلبة كلية للتربية البدنية وعلوم الرياضية، جامعة المثنى أثبت صلاحيته على عينة البحث. توصيات الباحثتان باستخدام المقياس الخصائص النفسية المفضلة للقبول في التربية الرياضية عند المقابلة في كلية التربية البدنية وعلوم رياضة. واعتماد الدرجات والمستويات المعيارية التي أظهرتها نتائج البحث.
