This thesis aimed at investigating the effectiveness of teaching mathematics using the Reigeluth Elaboration Model in developing Creative thinking skills and attitude towards mathematics of the fifth grade elementary students. To achieve this aim, the researcher prepared two tools (a test in Creative thinking skills and a measurement of attitude towards mathematics), The sample was consisted of (44) fifth grade elementary students have been divided randomly into two equal groups, an experimental group consisted of (22) students, studied the unit of "Algebraic expressions and equations" using Reigeluth Elaboration Model, and the other control group consisted of (22) students, studied the same unit using the traditional method, The research experiment was carried out over (17) classes (each 45 minutes), pre and post test of Mathematics Creative thinking skills and developing attitude towards Mathematics scale were applied for both groups. The research results showed statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the mean scores of experimental and control groups in post application for both the Mathematics Creative thinking skills test (fluency- flexibility- originality- the skills as a whole) and developing attitude towards mathematics in the favor of the experimental group. The results have proved the positive impact of teaching mathematics using the Reigeluth Elaboration Model in developing creative thinking skills and attitude towards mathematics in the favor of the experimental group, In light of results.
