This study aims mainly to know the effectiveness of using Six Thinking Hats' Strategy in teaching geography subject on the attainment and development of Direction of the female students of the second class at the secondary schools in the Holy city of Makkah towards the Subject at the lower cognitive levels of Bloom's Category (Memorization Comprehension-Application). The problem of the study was determined on the answer of the following question: What is the effectiveness of using Six Thinking Hats' Strategy in teaching geography subject on the attainment and development of direction of the female students of the second class secondary school towards the subject? For answering this question, the following two assumptions have been duly tested: 1. There are no statistically significant differences at level ≤ (0.05) among the average degrees of female students of the experimental group taught by using Six Thinking Strategy and those of female students taught by using traditional method in pro-application – after due control of pro application- for knowledge attainment test at the lower cognitive levels of all components of Bloom's Category ( Memorization- Comprehension Application) for favor of experimental group. 2. There are no statistically significant differences at significance level ≤ (0.05) among the average degrees of female students of the experimental group who were taught by using Six Thinking Strategy and those of female students taught by using traditional method in pro-application – after due control of pro-application- for knowledge attainment test at the lower cognitive levels of all components of Bloom's Category (Memorization Comprehension-Application) for attitude measurement towards geography subject. For achieving the objectives of the study, the researcher has used the quasi- experimental methodology and commenced designing the techniques and materials of the study which include: attainment test, measure of tendency towards geography. Furthermore, the experiment was applied on a random sample of (64) female students of the second secondary school at the rate of (32) for each study group; and sample was determined in the same manner. Generally, the study concluded tistcally significant at control group in the average degree of pro- academic attainment at all knowledge levels required to be measured, in addition to their excellence in attitude measurement; and that such excellence was statistically significant at significance level ≤ (0.05) . Based on the above, the researcher has rejected the zero assumptions after testing and accepted the alternatives. (Published abstract)
