The current research aims to identify ways and means of teaching-learning commonly used in school geography in middle school and junior high school in the province of Diyala. The current research is limited to teachers of geography classes in Diyala province, for the academic year 2007 – 2008. Research procedures: the research community and appointed by: community of teachers and a school teacher in 1168; 617 of them teachers; 551 schools. The research sample: 217 teachers and school accounted for 18.5% of the original community; 117 of them teachers accounted for 54%; 100 schools 46%. The absence of a tool ready relating to the subject matter, so the researcher prepared a special tool format questionnaire the researcher found that the questionnaire is the most suitable tool for gathering the information necessary to achieve the goal and its suppositions and because it offers a greater opportunity for respondents to answer the questions freely and openly and the conditions selected for the same. Showing results: is clear from the findings of the researcher of the ways in teaching the method of interrogation methods more commonly used and have a weighted average (2119) and less common methods used and the way appointments are likely in central (1245). The teaching aids school book of the most commonly used central casting (2799) and less likely the central computer means (1225). (Published abstract)
