هدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة أثر الإنترنت على التحصیل الدراسی الجامعی والبحث العلمی (دراسة حالة: جامعة المجمعة)، وذلك من خلال استعراض مواقف طلاب الجامعات السعودیة ممثلاً فی طلاب جامعة المجمعة من هذه التقنیة، وتقییم مدى مساهمة شبكة المعلومات الدولیة (الإنترنت) على التحصیل الدراسی والبحث العلمی الجامعی بالمملكة  وإلقاء الضوء على أهم المكاسب التی تحققت منها والتی یمكن أن تتحقق لطلاب الجامعات فی ظل تطبیق نظام تقنی حدیث، ومحاولة معرفة الرؤى والخطط المستقبلیة لجامعات المملكة فی هذا المجال الحدیث، مع إعطاء فكرة واضحة وشاملة عن التطور التقنی الحدیث خاصةً الإنترنت، وما یحتویه هذا المجال من تقنیات وأسالیب حدیثة یمكن الاستفادة منها فی تحقیق العدید من المزایا والمكاسب فی التحصیل الدراسی والبحث العلمی الجامعی، والتعرف على أهم المشاكل والمعوقات ومواضع الضعف التی تواجه الطلاب فی تحصیلهم الدراسی وفی بحوثهم العلمیة وعلاقة ذلك باستخدام تكنولوجیا الإنترنت من قبل طلاب الجامعة السعودیة محل الدراسة للعمل على ایجاد الحلول والمعالجات. وقد حققت هذه الدراسة صحة فرضیة أن هنالك علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائیة (طردیة) بین التحصیل الدراسی واستخدام شبكة المعلومات الدولیة (الإنترنت) من قبل طلاب المؤسسة محل الدراسة، كما وأن هناك علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائیة (طردیة) بین البحث العلمی واستخدام شبكة المعلومات الدولیة (الإنترنت) من قبل طلاب المؤسسة محل الدراســـة، وكما اتضح صحة وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائیة (طردیة) بین تطور أسالیب التدریس واستخدام شبكة المعلومات الدولیة (الإنترنت) بالمؤسسة محل الدراسة، وكما ثبت صحة وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائیة (عكسیة) بین مشاكل الطلاب العلمیة واستخدام شبكة المعلومات الدولیة (الإنترنت) من قبل طلاب المؤسسة محل الدراسة. ومن خلال الفرضیات التی تقدمت خلص الباحث إلى أن شبكة المعلومات الدولیة (الإنترنت) لها أثر ووجود فعلی وحقیقی وملحوظ لدى طلاب المؤسسات الأكادیمیة وخاصةً طلاب المؤسسة محل الدراسة. The objective of this research is to determine the impact of the Internet on the academic achievement of university and scientific research (case study: Majmaah University), and through review of the positions of students in Saudi universities represented in students Majmaah University from this technique, And assessment the contribution of the international information network (Internet) on the academic achievement and scientific research in the Kingdom, and to highlight the most important gains, which can be achieved for university students under the application of the modern technical, and try to see visions and future plans for the Kingdom universities in this area, giving a clear idea and comprehensive technical development of modern especially the Internet, modern methods and techniques can be used to achieve many of the benefits and gains in academic achievement and research university, and to identify the most important problems and obstacles and weaknesses facing the students in academic achievement in their scientific researches and their relation to the application of Internet technology in Saudi universities in the study to work to be addressed and resolved. Has made this study validity of the hypothesis that there is a statistically significant (positive correlation) between academic achievement and the use of international information network (Internet) by students of the institution under study, and that there is a statistically significant (positive correlation) between scientific research and the use of international information network (Internet) by students of the institution under study, and as it turns out a statistically significant relation (positive correlation) between the development of teaching methods and the use of international information network (Internet) by students of the institution under study, and also proved a relationship was statistically significant (inverse) between the problems of students scientific and the use of international information network (Internet) by students of the institution under study. Through the assumptions researcher concluded that the international information network (Internet) effect and the existence of an actual, real and noticeable among students in academic institutions, and that these institutions and their students have benefited from this new technology, it has a great importance, especially with regard to academic achievement and research scientific, and that these institutions and their students are working to keep up and keep pace with this modern technology, solve problems and constraints they face, creating the right climate inside these institutions. In light of these results, the researcher provided some recommendations, to be there is a safe working environment for the international information network (Internet) to be available to all academic institutions, Saudi Arabia and its students, and to strengthen the technical capacity of international information network (Internet) and networks, current information to these academic institutions, and the Ministry of Higher Education Saudi Arabia to develop promotional programs aimed at increasing the level perceive the senior management of institutions Saudi Academy of benefits and opportunities provided by the applications international information network (Internet), and that there is more attention by senior management of these institutions to raise the level of internal infrastructure of international information network (Internet), and raising the level of skill and experience of students in these institutions in the field of international information network (Internet), and facilitate the access of students of these institutions to international information network (Internet), and develop their abilities in this area, so they can produce research of high scientific quality based on technology advanced, and cooperation between the students of these institutions, and their respective academic institutions, and companies develop information systems for the development of mechanisms and a variety of applications for international information network (Internet), to take advantage of the progress reached by other countries technologically advanced, so as to ensure the quality of academic work and academic achievement for students, and to clarify the positive impact of the applications the international information network (Internet) in the level of student performance and increase their selfconfidence to keep pace with developments in this area, and create a spirit of initiative among the students, through the adoption of programs at the university level, to reward students who exhibit excellence in the application of the international information network (Internet ), and consequently the level of resistance to this new technology, and the prevailing culture of international information network (Internet) on all activities and areas, increasing their research and scientific quality of the university academic achievement and its development.
