This study highlights the importance of kindergarten programs for children in Kuwait. Participation positively affected children’s day-to-day performance, general knowledge, awareness of everyday activities, emotion control and physical and motor skills. Kindergarten has also been shown to successfully prepare children for compulsory education, rendering them capable of continued success throughout their educational career. Research has shown that during kindergarten, students become acquainted with school life, learn personal safety, how to make friends, and the basics of reading, writing, and mathematics, and expand upon their fine and gross motor/physical skills. Several statistical procedures were used to identify relationships between independent and dependent variables in this study. Results indicated a statistically significant difference among various independent variables such as gender, age and educational districts on dependent variables such as cognition/general knowledge, emotion, motor/physical, and “social”. Using Multiple Linear Regression Equation Models, various predicted equations for the standardized variables were developed. (Published abstract)
