The current paper aims to investigate the effect of designing digital stories for teaching history on developing the values of national identity for students of grade three in the middle level schools in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The population of the study consisted of (30) students. The experimental group was taught using the proposed historical digital stories. The descriptive approach and quasi-experimental were employed to achieve the research objectives and the intended tool represented in the national identity scale. The finding indicate that there were statistically significant differences at (0.05) level between the mean scores of pre- post measure of values of the national identity scale in favor of post measure. The finding also indicates that the effect size and black’s equation for the suggested digital historical stories was considerably significant in enhancing the values of national identity scale. The research offered a list of recommendation and suggestions related to utilizing digital historical stories in the learning environment. (Published abstract)
