The aim of this correlational study is to investigate the relationship between organizational commitment of faculty staff and the attainment of human development goals in Jordanian public universities. The study population comprised 300 faculty members. The study showed a high degree of the organizational commitment of faculty members in Jordanian public universities while the total mean of human resources scale as a whole was moderate. Furthermore, the results revealed that there were no statistically significant variations in the total score and domains of the organizational commitment scale of the faculty members in Jordanian public universities in favor of gender. However, the results revealed statistically significant variations in the total score and domains of the organizational commitment scale of faculty members in Jordanian public universities attributed to the college, and the variations were in favor of the humanities faculties. Moreover, there were statistically significant variations between the means of the total score of the organizational commitment as a whole and the means of the total score of affective as well as normative commitment. The results showed that the differences were in favor of the subjects having 11 years of experience or more. Moreover, the results revealed that there is a positive relationship between job commitment scale and human resources development. Depending on the findings discussed in this study, the researcher recommends benefit from the high level of the organizational commitment of the faculty member to boost their performance in particular and the development of human resources development in general.
