The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the use of cognitive maps in the development of visual memory of kindergartens based on the characteristics of images affect the process of retrieval of names and the distinctive features of things affect the process of retrieval as well as the presentation of images and the process of formal organization on the basis that cognitive maps are visual media that The visual memory can be developed. The researcher designed 10 cognitive maps of subjects related to the kindergarten curriculum and designed a visual scale to measure the visual memory of kindergartens and extracted the criteria of sincerity and stability. The researcher used the semi-experimental method of the two groups to identify the effectiveness of mental maps in the development of visual memory. The effectiveness of the use of cognitive maps in the development of visual memory ability in kindergarten children was calculated by using the black gain equation for Black. Results There were statistically significant differences at the level of ((0.05) between the mean scores of experimental group children in the tribal application and the post-application on the visual memory scale of the kindergarten child for the benefit of the post-application. Also, there were statistically significant differences at (0.05) the degrees are gentler the experimental group and the average grade of the control group scores in the post-test application for the experimental group. This indicates the effectiveness of the use of cognitive maps in developing the visual memory capacity of Kindergarten children. The study recommended adopting the necessary training programs for children, Kindergarten children using cognitive maps, training children on how to use cognitive map. (Published abstract)
