This research aims to establish a sports crisis management unit in the student activities department at the University of Kirkuk. Both of the researchers used the descriptive approach to suit the nature of the research. The research samples included the staff of the student activities department at the faculties of Kirkuk University. Where the size of the basic sample reached (35) individuals, the researchers used the questionnaire form as a data collection tool. The research was applied in the period from (15/12/2018 to 25/1/2019). The results showed that, were the dissemination of cultural awareness of crisis management to the student's activities department, and the optimization of resources and resources available to reduce of the effects of the crisis, and the qualifications of the director of the sports crisis management unit should have a master's degree in crisis management. The functions of the director of the sports crisis management unit are to develop alternative plans and plans for crisis management, and the qualifications of the safety and security officer of the work environment to have a bachelor's degree in sports education, and the tasks of the head of the committee to follow up the preparation of safety and safety rules for students and employees. Containment of the crisis and implementation of the crisis management the crisis in accordance with the quality of the crisis, the development and updating of the plans according to developments for better management, the most important recommendations, were the adoption of the proposed unit for the management of sports crises and its application in the department of student activities at the University of Kirkuk including the organizational objectives, administrative levels, terms of reference and functions of the proposed unit.
