The present research aims to find out the effectiveness of instructional design strategy according to the associative thinking strategy in achievement and participatory skills for the laboratory of teaching aids and the trend towards material. In order to achieve the aim of the research, the zeroth - hypotheses have been formulated and conducting an experiment lasted an entire semester that is the first one. The population research consist of the students in of the forthstage, Department of Physics, Faculty of Education at the University of Mustansiriyah for the academic year (2012-2013). The research sample is selected deliberately and its number (47) students. The equivalence between the research two groups is ensure through the variables (Age in months, Previous knowledge and intelligence). The experiment requirements have been perpetrated which consisted of constructing an instructional design that involves four basic phases that are; analysis phase which involves analysis of (subject, target audience, environmental conditions, characteristics of learners and course content analysis), stage of design and development that include (content regulation, determine specific behavioral objectives, provide the prerequisites for experiment), the implementation phase and includes several approaches that are necessary for the implementation of instructional design which are (selection of experimental design, experimentation and identify community-appointed, adjust the variables and the application of instructional design on the sample selected according to the lesson plans prepared for this purpose) and finally the evaluation stage that contain (primer evolution, formative assessment and evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the final design education after the end of experiment). As much as it is related to research tools it have been developed three ones namely, (an achievement test due a lack in finding a such 2102 -49 -22 - 222 - one suitable for the research purposes, practical skills form-note and the direction gauge towards learning of material). Concerning with the scientific achievement test, a (25) objective risk trail paragraphs are drafted of the multiple choice type because it has a high degree of stability, are not affected by the autonomy of the debugger, provides good coverage of the material of study and determine the result of a high degree of learning intended. Also, seven note-forms are set up for a seven experiments to evaluate the practical skills using the analytical method, which involve conversion of any procedural activity to steps and specific and sequential behavior actions put as descriptions on a descriptive data gauge of three dimensions to aids in determining the level of student performance. The sincerity of content has been ensured by reviews of note-form with the scientific content of experiments on the elite group of experts and specialists in the sections of physics and physics teaching methods. Thereafter the reliability coefficients for note-form is extracted using Pearson correlation coefficient equation in order to be sure of the form objectivity and stability. Moreover the scale of the trend towards material has been perpetrated which consist of (40) items and the psychometric properties being ensured. After the end of the students study and practicing of all of the laboratory experiments, the two groups were tested by means of achievement test, practical skill and trend towards the material. Results of data analysis reveals the superiority of students in the first experimental group, which studied the material accordance with the instructional design, on the control group which studied the same material in the usual way in achievement, all of the practical skills and the trend towards the teaching aids laboratory material. In accordance to these results a set of suggestions and recommendations have recorded so as to useful in other educational institutions such as the vocational institutes and also it is suggested to implement a study for completing this work.
