This study aims to investigate the difficulties of creative performance in teaching the first class teaching department, 1 college of basic education from the lecturers’ point of view. It also aims to identify the extent of differences of these difficulties according to some variables (gender, scientific qualifications and years of experience). The descriptive analysis method was used in this study. Researchers constructed a questionnaire to collect data and they assured its validity and reliability through using scientific procedures. The researchers used Cornbrash Alpha (0.81) to validate the questionnaire. Population of the study consisted of (36) males and females lecturers of the first class teaching department, college of basic education. 83% of this population was chosen randomly as a sample of the study. Findings showed that difficulties of creative performance of lecturers came in a medium degree with a mean of (3.31) according to the five-domain Lickers Scale. Results also showed statistically significant differences between lecturers’ responses about the difficulties facing the first class teaching department, college of basic education in creativity performances attributed to gender. There were no statistically significant differences attributed to scientific qualifications and years of experience. (Published abstract)
