The purpose of the study was to examine the attitudes of Lebanese secondary school students towards MSA, to examine the participants' attitudes towards Arab national identity and culture, to find out whether there is a statistically significant relationship between attitudes to MSA and attitudes to Arab National Identity and Culture, and to see whether there is a statistically significant relationship between attitudes to MSA and the variables age, grade, gender, and school The research questions were investigated using an attitudes questionnaire which was administered to 427 participants in grades 10, 11 and 12 at three different schools in West Beirut. Findings suggest that the participants harbor positive integrative orientations towards MSA and very positive attitudes towards Arab national identity and culture, while they have weak instrumental orientations to MS A and negative perception of the status of MSA in the Lebanese society. Recommendations were made in light of the results. (Author's abstract)
