Innovation has become an important problem from the problems of scientific research in a large number of countries. The growing interest in the subject of creativity and creative people is not confined to developed countries only, not to the community without the other, is a university education in Iraq and one of the communities the job that needs to be great interest, especially in the mental and creative, through the use of methods and programs of modern scientific in its development. So select the researcher in identifying the problem of his research on the effectiveness of an educational program in the development of creative thinking using the habits of mind among the students of the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Babylon. The objective of this research to: 1) identify the impact of the Costa and Kallick in the development of creative thinking using the habits of mind among the students of the third stage in the Faculty of Physical Education. 2) Identify the differences in the development of creative thinking using the habits of mind among students according to gender. Researcher to use the experimental method in a manner two equal groups (control and experimental) of the suitability requirements of the research. The research sample consisted of 60 students from the third stage Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Babylon, by (38) and student (22) students. Sample was divided into four groups, dividing the students into two groups randomly assigned experimental and control group by (19) students per set, and the students were divided randomly into two groups also experimental and control group by (11) student per set. The researcher to conduct pre-testing of Creative Thinking Using a scale Torrance on members of the research sample's (60) students from the third phase representing the research groups of the four, then the application program, which consists of ten modules actual (usually mental), the duration of the module (60 minutes), given the educational unit and one each week and this took the implementation of the program (10) weeks, after you complete the application tutorial on the two sets of research experimental groups of male and female students, the researcher conducting the tests dimensionality of testing the Torrance Creative Thinking on the two groups mentioned in on Sunday (8 / 5/2011). One of the main conclusions that emerged from the research are: 1) for Costa and Kallick a positive influence in the education and development of creative thinking using the habits of mind of Students in the third stage in the Faculty of Physical Education. 2) The educational program of the same effect in the development of creative thinking using the habits of mind to students. 3) Of the educational program of the same effect in the development of creative thinking (originality, fluency, flexibility) using the habits of mind to students. The researcher recommended the need to adopt a program of Costa and Kallick a method independent in the education and development of creative thinking in the faculties of physical education because of its great importance in the development of creative thinking.
