The current study aims to identify the degree of relevance of the actual art education environment to the specifications of classroom environment in the light of the discipline-based arts education (DBAE) in the intermediate schools of Riyadh city. Procedure and methodology: descriptive method was used to achieve research objectives by studying the situation as it is in reality and describe this situation in details by quantitative manner. Random sample representing 5% (480 female learners) of the intermediate schools of Riyadh city was taken. 1) What are the specifications of the classroom environment in light of DBAE? 2) What is the degree of relevance of the actual art education environment to the specifications of classroom environment in the light of DBAE? The main results of the study were: 1) development of frame of specifications of the classroom environment in light of DBAE that customized to the intermediate schools in KSA. 2) The actual relevance of art education environment in the intermediate schools was moderately according to the specifications of classroom environment in the light of the discipline-based arts education (DBAE) in the intermediate schools of Riyadh city. The study recommended the following: 1) adopting the frame of proposed specifications for the classroom environment for art education in the light of the theory of formal art education (DBAE) as a basis for the specifications of the classroom environment of art education in Saudi Arabia after further study in a large more representative sample. 2) More governmental commitment in terms of increasing the support and attention of the ministry of education, by training teachers and providing the requirements, tools and equipment of the classroom environment to achieve the objectives of the curriculum and the implementation of content as required.
