The aim of this study is to identify the counseling needs for Science and Art faculties students at the University of Bakht Alruda, in the academic, social, and psychological fields, as well as the effect of some variables (gender, type of college: Sience and Art, academic level), The study was conducted in the second semester of the academic year (2016/2017), the sample of this study consisted of (167) male and female students, chosen by the stratified random, the descriptive analytical method was used in this study. To fulfill the aim of the research a scale of (24) items distributed among three fields has been prepared. The study reached a range of results: The level of counseling needs for Science and Art Faculties students at the University of Bakht Alruda was high, and the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of counseling needs for students in academic and social fields due to gender variables (male / female), and that there were statistically significant differences in the level of counseling needs for students in psychological field and total score due to gender variables in favor of females, and also there were no statistically significant differences in the level of counseling needs for students in academic, social and psychological fields due to type of college (Science / Art), while there were statistically significant differences in total score of college variable in favor of science college, and there were no statistically significant differences in the level of counseling needs for students in academic field due to academic level (First, Second, Third year), whereas there were statistically significant differences in total score, social and psychological fields due to academic level, when using the Scheffe post hoc test in the total score, there were statistically significant differences in favor of the first level.
