Concerning the importance of leadership style that used by physical education and sport science teachers, the multiplicity of tasks that joined him/her as an educational and field leader and since the school is the main nucleus in society and the main ground in educational change and development. So, to know the suitable leadership style for the physical education and sport science teacher to use it will impact the development of scientific level and sportive performance of students. The importance of this study lies in being sought to know the leadership style that used by physical education and sport science teachers and clarifies its positive and negative impact on finding the suitable atmosphere that stimulates and motivates students towards successful sportive performance and enrich their scientific level. Sportive leadership styles are many and they differ according to the type of activity, circumstances of using, the kind of interaction and the number of in and out situations. The researchers made their comparative study on a sample of physical education and sport science teachers in Diyala directorate of education. A descriptive approach and a survey were used to suite the nature of study. In order to achieve the aim of the study, A scaled of leadership styles was used which consists of 66 items. Twenty five teachers were used randomly to represent the sample of the pilot administration. For the final administration, a sample of 183 physical education and sport science teachers were used randomly to represent the main sample of the study. After data collection, statistical analysis was used using the following formulas (percentages, mean, standard deviation, t- test formula). Results show that there is statistically significant difference in leadership styles between males and females, and there is no statistically significant difference between physical education and sport science teacher’s males and females in Diyala governorate.
