This study aimed to evaluate the situation of knowledge management applying in Saudi universities. A random sample of 130 responders selected from deans, deputies and the leaders of departments at umm al-Qura University. A questionnaire used for data collection. Suitable statistical methods were used for data analysis. The key findings are: the non-optimum of knowledge management in administrative work, the weak capacity of employers on producing and generating the knowledge management. The main problems that facing the knowledge management applying are: the poorness of culture on knowledge management, lack of motivation towards the role of knowledge management on the administration, the lower rates of spending on the administration's needs, and the weakness of coordinating between the administrative unites. Lastly, the study mentioned some recommendations and suggestions. (Published Abstract)
