The study aimed at measuring the effectiveness of a suggested unit in geography in developing 6th graders' awareness of cultural aspects in the Egyptian environments. In order to achieve the objective of this study, researcher prepared a list of the dimensions of awareness of cultural aspects in the egyptian environments, also design a suggested unit in the light of those dimensions, included a student book and a teaching guide, cultural knowledge test, cultural skills test and cultural attitudes scale. The study sample consisted of 30 students were randomly selected for the study of the suggested unit. Results revealed statistical difference between mean scores of students in the pre and post application in the cultural knowledge test, cultural skills test and cultural attitudes scale, which confirms the effectiveness of the suggested unit in developing 6th graders' awareness of cultural aspects in the Egyptian environments.
