The goal of current research to measure the effectiveness of using mind map strategy in teaching science on correcting the alternative scientific concepts and development critical thinking skills for the preparatory stage students , in order to achieve this goal were selected unit "sound and light" from the book of science due to second graders intermediate (Chapter the second semester) and has been prepared in detail, and in the light of what has already been preparing teachers guide to teach the unit using a mind concept map strategy ,brochure activity for students in the selected unit, has also been tested in alternative scientific concepts of unity set up, and test the critical thinking skills, and then selected the study group was divided into two groups, the first experimental studied unity reformulated using mind concept maps strategy, and the second group officer studied unity in the traditional method, the alternative scientific concepts test, and the skills of critical thinking test were administered before and after teaching the unit, and the results of the study showed there are significant differences between the average grades of the experimental group and grades of the control group in the post application to alternative scientific concepts test and the critical thinking skills test for the experimental group.
