I have attached modern breeding great care learner, which is the focus of the educational process, as it began to different educational institutions Find the latest styles and techniques and educational programs to keep pace with modern requirements and developments of scientific and technological in order to develop the capacity of the student cognitive and affective and skill to achieve the goals of educational. Summed up the problem of current research methods followed in the teaching of art history at the Institute of Fine Arts for Girls, it is during the scoping study conducted by a researcher on the students of Fine Arts Institute - Department of Fine Arts and the teachers of the history of art to identify the most important problems and the difficulties they face when studying and teaching this article, I noticed a weakness among female students in the level of achievement in this article and reached through the answers to the students and teachers that most of the reasons for returning to follow the teaching methods based on narrative and diction inject information scrappy, which led to clear confusion in the concepts of this article and not the possibility of retrieved after a period of time by the students and this is what stimulated the researcher to test a specimen (Merle - tension) as a way of modern education in the teaching of art history for students of the Institute of Fine Arts - Department of Fine Arts of what may contribute to teach students the concepts of this article and retention have. The research aims to: 1)Learn about the impact of the use of ( Merle - tension )model in the concepts of art history students at the Institute of Fine Arts for Girls / Studies morning - Baghdad 2) Learn about the impact of the use of ( Merle - tension ) model in the retention of the concepts of art history students at the Institute of Fine Arts for Girls / Studies morning - Baghdad The research follows the experimental method for the two experimental and control groups to suite the partial suitability with the research procedure , the research contains (50) samples students from the fourth grade- Institute of Fine Arts for Girls morning study / province of Baghdad, examined the experimental group of art history through four lesson plans built in accordance with the model ( Merle - tension ), while the control group has studied the same material with the normal method a cognitive achievement test has been built to measure the effectiveness of the model in the students acquisition of the concepts of art history and the retention of these concepts. Many of the statistical methods has been used to process information and reach results The results appear that the experimental group superiority in the achievement test cognitive post and retention test concepts and proven effectiveness of the model ( Merle - tension ) in the acquisition concepts of art history and retention. (Published Abstract)
