This study aims at getting knowledge about the factors that are related to the academic delay at the stage of the complimentary research in the section of basic of education at Imam University. This can be traced through inspection of the personal factors that relate to the academic in airway in the research complimentary stage. It also aims at getting knowledge about the scientific supervisor relating to the academic delay at the stage of the complimentary research. Moreover, it aims at getting aquatinted with academic factors relating to the scientific research. This in order to reach some assumptions to minimize factors relating to academic delay at the stage of the complimentary research concerning the equivalent master degree in basics of education of the male & female students at imam University. The population of the study comprises all delayed students in the section of basics of Education in its both options, Basics of Education & Islamic Education in second academic class of the your 1434 / 1435H. total number students (66), male & Female students. the factors that are related to the academic delay at the stage of the complimentary research in the section of basic of education at Imam University Dr. Wafaa Ibrahim Alfariah Imam Muhammad bin Saud University walfariah@yahoo.com Key words: academic delay, complimentary research ,education equivalent Research Abstract 14 The Saudi Journal of Higher Education - Issue No.13 - May 2015 After practical application, the researcher has found (35) questionnaire unit useful for statistical analysis. She applied the method of descriptive survey, because it is appropriate to achieve the objectives of the reaches – the main outstanding results are:- 1. The most important reasons for academic delay that is related to the personal factors of the complimentary research stage, concerning male & fameless student of the equivalent master degree in Basics of education at Imam University was found to be due to extra tiredness fatigue & being busy with more responsibilities. 2. The most important reasons for academic delay related to the scientific supervisor at the stage of the complimentary research degree concerning male & family students of the equivalent master degree in Basics of education at imam University was found to be due to negligence of the research idea in choosing the supervisor, & also weakness in guidance & academic supervision from the supervisors side, The extended period taken by the supervisor to supply the researcher with his remarks- also the correspondence with the supervisor & the wishes of the researcher, In addition to the difficulty of reaching supervisor. 3. The most important reasons of academic delay relating to the research at the stage of complimenting research for the male & female Students of the equivalent master degree in basic of education at imam University is repented by lack of regulations that can indicate the normal period needed for finishing the research stage. It also lacks availability of a research map that can assist in choosing the subject of his research. 4. The most important recommendations for lessening academic delay relating the stage of the complimentary research for male & female students of the equivalent master degree in basics of education at Imam University is to assured the members of the teaching staff to cooperate completely with the researchers at the stage of the complimentary research & make sure that the scientific supervisor to activate the electronic correspondence & develop & up – grade guidance & academic advice. The study has research many recommendations in the high of the study results. (Published Abstract)
