Intercultural communicative competence (ICC) has been the subject of various theoretical discussions and empirical research for the past few decades. This article is an attempt to both summarize current theoretical frameworks of the concept and to discuss the role of integrated approaches to teaching in developing learners’ intercultural communicative competence in a foreign language classroom.
