This research paper is the product of a research grant project (54/2012) that was approved and supported by the Deanship of Scientific Research at the University of Bahrain. The study reports how implementing the lesson study strategy helps in developing the cooperative teacher’s professional skills and student teachers of Cycle 1 in their teaching practice course. The study sample consisted of 10 cooperative teachers and 20 student teachers who were doing their teaching practice course. Questionnaires and interviews were implemented to collect data. The study findings indicate that the lesson study strategy helped both parties develop their professional and teaching skills in terms of critical thinking, reflections as well as raising confidence and developing positive attitudes towards the profession.(Pubished Abstract)
