The level of performance of teaching abilities for student teachers at zarqa university from the point of view of studeut-teachens,teaching staff, and cooperative teachers [Article]
This study aimed at identifying the level of performance of teaching abilities for the student teachers at Zarqa University in planning, implementation, evaluation and character of those teacher students, college staff, and co- teacher. The researcher used the analytical, descriptive method in this study. Thus, devised a questionnaire consisting of (52) items that covered four domains which was distributed to a sample of (62) student-teacher amongst seniors who used involved in practical education programme in schools throughout the first semester of the academic year 2010/2011. The sample also involved thirteen staff members and (62) co- teachers. The results of the study revealed that the performance abilities of student teachers were high in all areas whose means were between (3.5- 4.49). The study also revealed that there is a significant statistical differences at the level (a= 0.05) in the teaching performance of student teachers due to the study variables (student, teacher, staff member, and co-teacher) at the levels of implementation, evaluation, character, and overall level for the benefit of teacher students except for character the level when compares the staff members with co- teachers were for the benefit of co- teachers. The study also revealed that there are no significant statistical difference at the level (0.05=a) in the planning domain. (Published abstract)
