هدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة درجة تبنِّي مفاهيم التفكير النظمي في الجامعات الرسمية السعودية، من وجهة نظر العمداء ورؤساء الأقسام في تلك الجامعات. واستُخدمت في البحث استبانة، أعدتها الباحثة؛ للإجابة عن السؤال الرئيسي في هذا البحث. تأّلف مجتمع الدراسة من خمس من الجامعات الحكومية السعودية، أي ما مجموعه 56 عميد كّلية، و353 رئيس قسم، فكان إجمالي عدد العمداء ورؤساء الأقسام 409 وكانت عينة الدراسة طبقية، تأّلف أفرادها من العمداء ورؤساء الأقسام في (الجامعات الحكومية السعودية. وقد أجاب 187 فردا من أفراد العينة عن أسئلة الاستبانة، واستُبعدت استبانات لم تّتفق مع المعايير العلمية. وأظهرت نتائج هذا البحث أن كلّا من العمداء ورؤساء الأقسام في الجامعات رأوا أن درجة تبنِّي تلك المفاهيم متوسطة، في الدرجة الكّلية، وفي المجالات الثلاث التي شملت: الأنشطة الداخلية في الجامعة، وفي العلاقة مع سوق العمل، وفي علاقات الجامعة مع الأطراف الأخرى، مثل المجتمع المحلي ومؤسساته، والمؤسسات الحكومية. وخلصت الدراسة أيضا إلى ضرورة الاهتمام بمبادئ التفكير النظمي في المجال التربوي، واستقصاء إمكانيات الاستفادة منه نظريا وعمليا، خاصة أمام وجود فجوات بين مخرجات التعليم العالي وحاجات سوق العمل. This research aimed at investigating the degree of adopting systems thinking concepts in state Saudi Universities. A questionnaire prepared by the researcher was utilized for answering the main question of the research. The population of the research was comprised of 5 governmental Saudi Universities. i.e., 56 deans and 353 head of academic departments 409. The sample of the study was stratified comprising 187 deans and head of academic departments in those universities. Other respondents were excluded because they did not match scientific standards. The results of the study indicated that both deans and heads of departments in the above mentioned universities consider the degree of adopting systems thinking concepts was medium. The degree was also medium in the three areas of the study, namely: the university's internal relations and activities, its relations with labor market, as well as the relations between universities with local communities and governmental institutions. The research results indicated the need to take systems thinking in to consideration, in both theory and practice, especially under the existing gaps between higher education output, and the labor market needs.
